Songwriter Circle

Welcoming all songwriters for an intimate song and writing share. Bring a polished song or one in progress—that could mean a melody and no words, some words and no melody, bits and pieces, or formed yet something just doesn’t quite feel “finished”. You’ll have an opportunity to share how you’d like us to listen and if there’s any feedback you’re looking for.

We’ll start by each sharing one song around the circle (camp fire style) and depending on attendance and time, we may open it up for another partial or full round.

No prompt for our first circle, but we’ll leave with a prompt or theme for next month as an invitation for anyone looking for more inspiration and support around songwriting.

About the Space: We have a variety of seating, including couches, chairs, and cushions. Soul Song Sanctuary is a meditative and intimate space, so it’ll be like cozying up in someone’s living room. I will ask everyone to take off their shoes, so please plan your footwear accordingly. I’ll also have water & tea. (We have a tiny kitchenette and bathroom.)

What to Bring: Your words, your music, something to write on and with. An instrument if you want to play something other than the house parlor classical guitar. Optional, to consider: Cozy slippers/socks, a blanket/cushion, water bottle. Pack-in/pack-out on any snacks.

About Your Host: I’m jewels, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who restarted writing and playing in 2019. I moved to Eureka Springs in December of 2023 from Portland, Oregon where I was a part of a vibrant songwriter community. I’m hoping to connect with other writer-musicians interested in developing and sharing the craft. While I trend towards writing folk and Americana-influenced songs, I’d love to welcome folks writing across any genre.
